Job Description
We are a growing company looking for a skilled and motivated Remote Bookkeeper / Accountant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in QuickBooks Online who thrives in a fast-paced, remote work environment. You'll be responsible for managing the finances of multiple clients, ensuring their financial transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
What You'll Do:
Reconcile Bank Accounts and Credit Cards: Ensure accuracy by matching transactions with statements.
Manage Client Accounts: Handle a portfolio of 10-20 clients, assisting with accounts payable/receivable, billing, and tracking expenses.
Payroll & Tax Management: Help clients with payroll, tax filings, and sales tax collection.
Financial Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate spreadsheets and records of financial transactions.
Client Reporting: Submit detailed daily reports to your supervisor and track time per client.
Problem-Solving: Tackle any issues within QuickBooks Online and resolve discrepancies.
Miscellaneous Duties: Assist with loans, budgeting, and other ad-hoc financial tasks as needed.
What We're Looking For:
Experience:
1-3 years of hands-on QuickBooks Online experience (required).
1-3 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience, ideally with small businesses.
Skills & Abilities:
Strong communication skills (both oral and written).
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to manage deadlines and work under pressure.
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (a must).
A keen attention to detail and accuracy.
Work Style:
Ability to work independently in a remote setting with minimal supervision.
Flexibility to adjust work hours as needed.
Strong confidentiality practices regarding client and company information.
Technical Requirements:
Access to a working computer that meets industry standards (including dual monitors, high-speed internet, and antivirus software).
Ability to sit at a computer for extended periods of time, with typing and data entry as required.
A webcam and audio for virtual meetings (Zoom).
Our Hiring Process:
