Jones Networking is recruiting for a Senior Logistics Director to join the Sterling, VA corporate office of a global manufacturing company. The Sr Logistics Director will oversee and manage all logistics operations, ensuring the efficient and effective distribution of goods. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills to optimize supply chain processes, improve operational efficiency, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Senior Logistics Director Position Summary:
-Develop and implement logistics strategies to support business objectives.
-Manage and optimize the supply chain, including transportation, warehousing, and
inventory management.
-Lead and mentor a team of logistics professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
-Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination and
communication.
-Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
-Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
-Negotiate contracts with suppliers, carriers, and other logistics partners.
-Oversee the implementation of technology solutions to enhance logistics operations.
-Manage the logistics budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
-Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, customers and internal teams.
Qualifications Summary:
-Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field. A Master's Degree is preferred.
-Minimum seven years of experience in Logistics or Supply Chain Management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
-Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain principles, practices, and
technologies.
-Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
-Strong ability to develop and implement strategic plans.
-Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
-Proficiency in logistics software and tools.
