Summary:
Fabricate and install upholstery, cover panels, and create simple patterns for aircraft interiors using design/engineering drawings and specifications.
Fabricate and install flat panels, curtains, and simple covers using design specs and drawings
Work with fabric, vinyl, leather, composites, and adhesives using sewing machines, hand tools, and power tools
Cut and surge carpets; cover bulkheads and various aircraft interior panels
Fabricate metal parts and fit panels, headliners, sidewalls, hatch panels, and windows
Use the Corridor material tracking system to create part demands, track issues, and sign off work
Collaborate with leads and senior techs to implement process improvements (Lean Manufacturing)
Follow safety protocols, 5S, and proper use of PPE
Report and address unsafe conditions promptly
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
2+ years' experience with commercial sewing machines, sergers, or hand tools used in upholstery/carpet trades
Aerospace experience preferred
Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English
Ability to read blueprints and engineering documents
Basic math and measuring tool proficiency
Computer literacy
Physically able to: climb ladders/stairs, lift up to 40 lbs, work in confined areas, and work any shift
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
