The University of Miami Health System, "UHealth", Information Technology Department has an exciting opportunity for a Full- time Epic Analyst, Lab Information Systems (Clinical Pathology). This position will provide support across various sights including our new satellite office - SoLé Mia.
Core Responsibilities:
As an Epic Analyst, Lab Information Systems (Clinical Pathology), you will report to the Senior Manager and will be responsible for:
Providing oversight and leadership to Associate Epic Analysts on the team
Implementing, building, and modifying the application
Collaborating with key stakeholders, end-users, and application team members to optimize the application’s configuration, function, and access
Providing day-to-day application support and resolving application issue
Department Specific Functions:
As an Epic Clinical Analyst – Lab Information Systems (Clinical Pathology), you have the option to work fully remote in the United States. You will be expected to travel to the job site during go-lives, conferences, rounding, and/or senior leadership meetings.
initiates the implementation, builds, and modifies complex applications, and collaborates with key stakeholders, end-users, and application team members to optimize the application’s configuration, function, and access. The incumbent supports junior staff members in day-to-day operations and resolving application issues.
Serve as a support contact for application end‐users
Design, develop, implement, and maintain the application
Support all phases of testing and document workflow design
Perform the analysis of information technology in clinical work processes and validate the impacts to the workflow
Identify issues and work to resolve them
Provide day-to-day application support, evaluate and resolve service tickets, implement requested application changes, and retrieve requested data in a timely manner
Collaborate with trainers on application changes and new features to develop documentation and training strategies
Assist with analyzing the impact of information technology in clinical work processes
Adhere to internal controls and reporting structure
Participate in on-call rotations
Attend and participate in applicable committees
Work with stakeholders, business community, and end users to ensure the application meets UHealth's business/clinical needs
Maintain regular communication with team members and participate in weekly project team meetings
Review the status of projects and issues on an ongoing basis with leadership
Become knowledgeable about UHealth’s policies, procedures, and business operations
Participate in on-call rotations
Participate in rounding events for customers to better understand workflows and issues
Attend and participate in applicable committees
Foster a positive, collaborative, and inclusive team environment
Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and excellence in service delivery
Partner with all IT teams when developing streamlined services for customers including but not limited to incident, requests, and projects.
On occasion and depending on type of project, act as the project manager to help oversee tasks through to completion.
CORE QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s d egree in relevant field
Epics Beaker (CP) Certification essential
Data Innovation preferred
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
2-5 years preferably in healthcare or healthcare-related organization
At least 2 years of Epic build experience
Previous operational, project management, and organizational skills
Familiarity with lab workflows, regulatory requirements, integration points with other Epic modules, and patient experiences preferred
Experience in clinical pathology and lab practices, preferred
Previous Epic Beaker, CP implementation experience and certification preferred
Microsoft Office Suite: Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, Excel
Ability to Seek, logically examine, and interpret information from different sources to determine a problem's cause and developing a course of action to resolve the problem and to prevent its recurrence
Ability and willingness to take ownership of work activities and ensure that they are completed in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner.
Ability and willingness to see things in an open-minded way and examine an idea or concept from as many angles as possible.
Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees including senior leadership
Any relevant education, certifications and/or work experience may be considered.
