Job Description
WHAT YOU DO
You are the welcoming face guests see when they arrive and the calm, capable presence ensuring their visit unfolds effortlessly. You manage daily front-of-house flow—from reservations to table assignments—so that every guest is seated comfortably and on time. You guide your host team with professionalism, stay connected with the kitchen and service staff, and keep the guest experience at the center of it all. You handle feedback with care, maintain a polished and inviting entrance, and jump in where needed to keep things moving. For you, hospitality is about the little moments that make a big impression.
WHO YOU ARE
You are a confident, service-minded individual who thrives in a refined, fast-paced dining environment. You enjoy creating memorable guest experiences and take pride in delivering warm, polished hospitality. With at least three years of experience in luxury or fine dining, you understand the importance of timing, grace, and attention to detail. You’re comfortable using reservation and POS systems like OpenTable or SevenRooms and know how to keep things running smoothly even when the room is buzzing. You communicate clearly, lead with positivity, and enjoy working with a diverse team toward a common goal—making every guest feel valued and cared for.
WHERE YOU WORK
The Joseph Nashville, a Luxury Collection Hotel re-imagines the hotel experience. The hotel's modern expression is informed by the city's diverse maker-culture and is as focused on integrating the work of Nashville's artisans, chefs and craftsmen as it is that of its musicians. The Joseph's art program - incorporating both the local works of Tennessee artists and works from one of the world's most renowned art collections - deepens the hotel's offering and roots it firmly in Nashville for guests and visitors alike. Featuring 297 thoughtfully designed rooms and suites, as well as 18,000 square feet of event and meeting space, The Joseph will exceed the expectations of varied guests. In addition to impeccable service, The Joseph offers countless chances to enjoy unique and memorable experiences. From the front door to the rooftop, The Joseph is full of opportunities to encounter the unexpected.
WHY YOU’RE HERE
Why do you do what you do? Passion. Pride. Life. You are passionate about making that difference. Making the difference for every guest that walks through the doors of the restaurant, and doing everything you can to ensure each of our guests has a memorable experience.
