Job Description

Our client, a leader in commercial real estate, is seeking a Construction Manager to oversee complex field operations across clean room lab builds and tenant improvement renovations. This is a full-time, on-site role . This is a contract position with potential to convert to full-time. Compensation is in the $45-50/hr range, based on experience.

The key to this role is strong, hands-on experience in managing day-to-day site activities, coordinating multiple subcontractors and vendors, and maintaining project schedules, safety, and quality standards. Candidates must have a solid understanding of construction from conception to completion and demonstrate professionalism and accountability while supporting a team of 12–13 Project Managers across various job sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as boots-on-the-ground leadership on active job sites
• Coordinate daily with contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and Project Managers
• Review project schedules and identify slippage or scheduling risks
• Monitor change orders and support fire department inspections
• Conduct regular site observations to ensure quality control and safety compliance
• Maintain up-to-date progress reporting and ensure projects stay on schedule and under budget
• Read and interpret construction plans and specifications
• Support general project execution from pre-construction through final completion

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in commercial and/or industrial construction
• Proven experience in a Superintendent-level role
• Ability to manage multiple active projects and coordinate with large internal teams
• Deep understanding of construction operations, plans, and timelines
• Professional, detail-oriented, and highly responsible
• Familiarity with project inspection protocols and safety standards
• Strong communication and leadership skills

Preferred but not required:

• OSHA 30 certification
• Background in general contracting
• Experience with clean room or lab facility construction

Software Skills:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Experience with BlueBeam and Procore or similar construction management platforms
