Job Description

We’re looking for a Creative Operations Manager to lead and support our high-performing creative department within a fast-paced, high-volume marketing agency. In this role, you’ll focus on managing the people, processes, and performance that power our creative output while staying engaged in hands-on design as needed. You’ll build a culture of collaboration and accountability, drive operational improvements, and ensure the team has the tools, context, and support they need to thrive.

This is a remote team leadership role for someone who understands the creative mindset and thrives on building healthy teams and scalable systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Creative Culture:

  • Lead the creative team with a focus on team culture, quality control, skill development, and balanced workloads.
  • Cultivate a collaborative, accountable, and growth-oriented team environment.
  • Conduct regular check-ins to provide mentorship, feedback, and professional development.

Workflow & Process Management:

  • Partner with the Project Manager to streamline workflows and implement scalable systems for creative production.
  • Support annual planning for creative themes and collaborate with lead designers on concept development and theme review preparation.
  • Assign and track creative tasks using Asana.
  • Coordinate with team leads to address special requests, assess capacity, and allocate resources effectively.

Creative & Production Support:

  • Contribute to creative production across print and digital platforms.
  • Assist in generating creative assets, including leveraging AI tools such as Midjourney.
  • Oversee global revisions to ensure consistency and timely delivery of creative assets.

Performance Management:

  • Monitor and optimize team performance using key KPIs.

Proofing & Quality Control:

  • Review and manage creative proofs in Ziflow.
  • Prepare and submit final creative for corporate audits.
  • Manage corporate and product partner approvals to ensure alignment and compliance.


Qualifications:

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in creative operations or team leadership with demonstrated career growth.
  • Background in graphic or production design.
  • Proven ability to manage workflows and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Passion for managing teams, fostering culture, and improving operational efficiency.

Preferred:

  • Proficiency with tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Ziflow, Asana.
  • Experience with AI-based platforms is a plus (e.g., Midjourney).
  • Experience managing remote teams.
  • Knowledge of video and animated graphic production.
  • Understanding of print production standards and workflows.
