Job Description

Our team is looking for passionate and outgoing canvassers to go door-to-door and speak with voters in Elizabeth, New Jersey . In this position, you will use systems such as MiniVan to canvass neighborhoods and communities to collect research data. This campaign is committed to electing Democrats through grassroots efforts modeled after 1-on-1 conversations, research, and ACTION!

This position is an entry-level position with no experience required. Training will be provided. All applicants must possess reliable transportation and a valid driver's license. Flexible schedules and multiple shifts are available.

Duties and responsibilities

• Door-to-door canvassing

• Walking neighborhoods and talking to voters at their doors

• Accurate tracking of contact data on a daily basis using MiniVA N

• Communicate daily with your supervisor about your shifts and availability

• Daily check-ins with the supervisor
• Other tasks as assigned by the Field Director and Field Organizers

Qualifications:

• Excellent communication skills

• Be honest, detail-oriented, and able to follow instructions.
• Work outside in various weather conditions
• Comfortable with technology and able to accurately record data
• Route planning and critical thinking skills .

Requirements:

• 18+ years old

• Bilingual - Spanish preferred
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Smartphone required with access to data usage
• Has access to reliable transportation
• Available 12+ hours a week
