Job Description

We are currently hiring a Aviation Composite Systems Mechanic in San Antonio, TX. This is a contractor position offering competitive pay of $21-$28/hr, plus the highest non-taxable per diem in the market, including overtime.

Job Overview: As a Composites Mechanic Technician, you’ll be responsible for repairing composite components on commercial aircraft. You’ll use specialized tooling and ground support equipment to complete routine and non-routine tasks efficiently, following written and oral instructions from supervisors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Repair composite components on and off aircraft following manuals and directives.
• Maintain tools in good condition and adhere to safety practices.
• Keep personal records of work performed and complete any necessary training.
• Work on assigned tasks as directed by your supervisor.

Job Requirements:

• Basic knowledge of composite repair processes and materials (metals, fiberglass, kevlar, resins, etc.).
• Familiarity with aircraft manuals, ATA codes, FAR regulations, and company procedures.
• Experience with basic safety procedures and using reader printers/IPC.
• Ability to perform tasks independently and complete necessary paperwork.

Working Environment:

• Primarily indoors with favorable conditions, but occasional outdoor work in varying weather.
• Frequent climbing of ladders and scaffolding, and working on uneven surfaces.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle long working hours.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED (preferred).
• A&P License or related training (desired).
• At least 2 years of experience in aircraft maintenance.
