Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Driver Messenger to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and servicing state-owned vehicles, as well as supporting the movement of documents, mail, furniture, and other heavy equipment between court buildings. In addition, the Driver Messenger will assist with clerical duties such as scanning, shredding, deliveries, stockroom maintenance, and other tasks as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

• Regularly maintain and service state-owned motor vehicles to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
• Pick up and deliver documents, mail, furniture, and heavy equipment between various locations, including court buildings.
• Assist in the distribution of mail and messages within and between court buildings in an efficient and timely manner.
• Assist with scanning, shredding, and maintaining the stockroom.
• Lift, carry, and assemble objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Provide support with other clerical tasks and assignments as directed.

Qualifications: Successful completion of the eighth grade or the equivalent; and Possession of a valid drivers license in New York State to operate the type of motor vehicle in use; or An equivalent combination of education and experience.
