Job Description

A Carter Lumber Window & Siding Technician will perform repairs and installations of windows and siding products under warranty claims at residential and commercial job sites throughout Northeast Ohio. A solid understanding of exterior building systems, proper siding installation techniques, and window functionality is key to success in this role. A strong belief in the mission and goals of the company are necessary to this position.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in installing and repairing windows and siding
  • Strong knowledge of building materials, tools, and exterior construction techniques
  • Excellent work ethic and ability to meet deadlines under pressure
  • Solid math and measuring skills
  • Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions
  • Skilled at analyzing and solving field-based problems
  • A clean driver's license
  • Service vehicle provided 

Responsibilities:

  • Assess job sites prior to beginning work to ensure that high-quality repairs and installations can be performed
  • Perform warranty repairs and product adjustments using the proper materials and provided tools
  • Conduct inspections of windows and siding for damage, performance, and safety issues
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment at all times on job sites
  • Deliver exceptional service by treating customers with respect and professionalism, ensuring that work is completed on time and to high standards
  • Represent the company positively by adhering to conduct standards and responding to customer concerns with patience and professionalism
  • Pursue necessary training to stay current with product repair techniques and safety procedures
  • Obtain certifications relevant to siding and window products to ensure excellent service quality
