Job Description
What You’ll Do:
- Collaborate with a team of application specialists to support enterprise applications for our clients.
- Develop and unit test RESTful web services and solutions using web applications. Proficiency with tools like SOAP UI and Postman is required.
- Translate business requirements into code while adhering to development standards, including thorough code and design documentation.
- Write both backend and frontend code for web-based applications.
- Identify and resolve defects efficiently and effectively.
- Participate in performance tuning across application and network tiers.
- Assess and triage issues based on priority and urgency.
- Escalate critical issues to management when necessary.
- Manage multiple priorities simultaneously to meet deadlines.
- Engage in cross-training and knowledge sharing to foster best practices within and beyond the team.
- Quickly learn and adapt to new applications and technologies as systems evolve.
- Promote teamwork, effective communication, and strong working relationships with internal and client teams.
- Deliver high-quality, defect-free solutions that comply with industry standards and best practices.
- Analyze and assess periodic vendor-released application upgrades.
What You’ll Need:
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years as a Programmer/Analyst, Software Developer, IT Consultant, or in a similar role.
Technical Skills:
- Strong expertise in recent versions of:
- Languages & Frameworks: Java, Angular 13, Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA, Spring Framework, Spring Security, Hibernate
- Tools & Technologies: Maven, Bootstrap, Oracle, JBoss, GitLab, SQL Developer/Toad, JIRA, JBoss Cruise Control, Eclipse
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Client-focused with the ability to deliver results under pressure and within deadlines.
- Team-oriented, self-aware, and capable of working independently.
- Sound decision-making skills with the ability to seek input when necessary.
- High attention to detail with a commitment to quality.
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
