General Description Of Duties

The specialist is responsible for developing and executing social media and digital content strategies across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and others—ensuring all content is accurate, engaging, brand-aligned, and grammatically correct . Duties include writing and editing copy, photography, photo and video editing, graphic design, and maintaining internal and external communications. This position also contributes to marketing plans for Adelante’s programs and enterprise businesses, supports and helps run events, and participates in public relations and promotional activities.

The ideal candidate brings strong storytelling skills, digital marketing experience, and a high standard of professionalism to everything they produce. All public-facing materials must reflect Adelante’s voice and values, respect the dignity of the individuals we serve, and follow our approved branding and communication guidelines.

Education and Experience: One (1) or more years of marketing and/or public relations experience is required. Experience with social media applications, photography and graphic design is required. Experience with Microsoft Office, CorelDraw or InDesign, and Adobe Photoshop is preferred. Strong English/grammar skills are required including the ability to proofread materials for multiple formats and uses. Good manual dexterity is required for multiple tasks including, but not limited to, cutting, mounting, and or laminating marketing materials and/or signs.

Other Requirements: Must pass background/fingerprint investigation, pre-employment drug screening and TB test. Must have own reliable transportation, valid NM driver’s license, insurable driving record and proof of current liability insurance. An employee in this position frequently sits at a desk or workstation but may be required to travel to other Adelante program sites, and to local organizations or businesses. Must be able to sit, bend/stoop, squat, crouch, kneel, lift 20 lbs., carry, reach above shoulder(s), and perform keyboarding/typing tasks frequently. Adelante is a drug free workplace.
