This position is remote in Oregon, Washington or Idaho, with starting pay from $43 - $53 per hour.
OCCU is seeking a Senior Mortgage Underwriter. This role analyzes loan requests, makes credit decisions according to OCCU and regulatory standards, and serves as a resource for the team. Key responsibilities include underwriting residential real estate loans, assessing borrower credit and risk, providing expert guidance to staff, resolving complex issues, supporting the manager with performance metrics, preparing reports to improve efficiency, and escalating concerns promptly.
Applicants are required to have a minimum of five years of experience in secondary market underwriting. Experience with government lending programs is preferred.
