Job Description

A Reputable Contractor in the Salt Lake City area is currently seeking a Heavy Civil Project Manager candidate for upcoming Alternative Delivery projects. The ideal candidate will have experience with alternative delivery methods such as CMaR, CM/GC and Design-Build projects.

Salary: $140,000 - $160,000

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards in line with the project management guide.
  • Interface with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve problems and ensure construction quality.
  • Oversee budgets and adjusted job costing; prepare and organize monthly project cost reports for review with Area and Division Managers.
  • Plan, organize, and staff key field positions through regional department heads.
  • Monitor and control construction through the administrative direction of on-site Superintendents, ensuring adherence to project schedules and budgets.
  • Maintain active liaison with customers, joint-venture partners, subcontractors, and others to facilitate construction activities.
  • Identify potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
  • Leverage experience with Alternative Delivery projects to enhance project execution.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of heavy civil large project experience is preferred, with at least 5 years in Large Construction Project Management.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction equipment, techniques, drawings & specifications, building materials, and industry standards.
  • Strong grasp of technology and construction software is essential.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
