Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the execution of engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. As a key member of the project team, you will collaborate closely with various departments, including design, construction, procurement, and client stakeholders, to ensure project objectives are met and potential issues are proactively addressed. You will be responsible for managing resources, schedules, and project documentation, while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

Position Responsibilities:

• Leads capability proposal activity from Request for Proposal (RFP) through submittal.
• Coordinates with technical leads, other program product teams and suppliers to ensure project statement of work is executed on time.
• Identifies and maintains day-to-day oversight of cost, schedule and performance metrics to be briefed to leadership.
• Maintains working-level customer relationships.
• Manages and ensures deliverables are submitted on time.
• Plans, identifies and coordinates resources required over the life of the project or program
• Defines plans for risk mitigation and opportunity
• Compares actual results to baseline plan to assess project performance, efficiencies, productivity and lessons learned.
• Provides technical, business and integration for the development and execution of project to team plans.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Engineer, preferably within the Aerospace or DoD sectors.
• Strong understanding of Project Engineering principles and practices in the context of defense or aerospace engineering.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance (must be able to obtain/pass a polygraph).
• Direct Program or Project management experience
• Experience in communication with both internal and external customers
• Earned Value Management (EVM) experience

• This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
