Job Overview:

We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Product Owner to join our team and lead the development of world-class mobile/web applications integrated with IoT devices. In this role, you will bridge the gap between customer needs, technical capabilities, and business goals to deliver innovative and impactful solutions. You will own the product lifecycle from ideation to delivery, working cross-functionally to create exceptional products that delight users and drive business growth. If you’re passionate about turning complex challenges into seamless, customer-centric solutions, this is your opportunity to make a significant impact. Passionate about hunting with a genuine enthusiasm for developing technology in the outdoor/hunting industry.

Responsibilities:

Drive Product Strategy and Vision:

  • Develop and articulate a clear product vision that aligns with business objectives and customer needs.
  • Maintain and update the product roadmap, ensuring timely delivery of features that drive customer satisfaction and market success.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring it aligns with strategic goals and market demands.

Lead Discovery and Ideation:

  • Lead product discovery sessions, utilizing user research, market trends, and customer feedback to define product features and capabilities.
  • Translate business requirements into actionable user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
  • Ensure a deep understanding of customer pain points and translate them into product solutions.

Coordinate Cross-Functional Teams:

  • Collaborate with engineering, design, marketing, and other teams to deliver high-quality products on time and within scope.
  • Work closely with the development team to contribute to sprint planning, ensuring that the team is aligned on goals, priorities, and timelines for each sprint.

Drive UI/UX Design and Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the design team to ensure features are intuitive, user-friendly, and aligned with the product vision.
  • Provide clear direction on user flows, interactions, and design specifications to enhance the overall user experience.

Ensure Product Quality and User Experience:

  • Ensure the final product meets technical and customer quality standards by reviewing beta results and by working closely with the QA team to support the process.
  • Continuously refine product features and experiences based on user feedback, data, and business performance metrics.

Prioritize and Manage Backlog:

  • Own and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring that the team is always focused on delivering the highest-value features first.
  • Balance the technical needs of the product with the business objectives, ensuring that each release provides meaningful value to end-users and stakeholders.

Measure Product Performance and Success:

  • Define and track key product metrics to measure success.
  • Continuously assess product performance and iterate on features to drive growth and enhance the customer experience.

Manage Stakeholder Relationships:

  • Serve as the voice of the customer and business stakeholders throughout the product development process.
  • Regularly update stakeholders on product progress, challenges, and successes.

Own Product Release Planning:

  • Coordinate and manage product release plans, ensuring a smooth and successful launch for each new feature or product iteration.
  • Work closely with marketing, sales, and support teams to ensure alignment on product launches and go-to-market strategies.

Requirements:

  • Proven Product Ownership Experience: 5+ years of experience in a product owner or product manager role, with a focus on mobile/web applications and integrated IoT devices.
  • Strong Industry knowledge: Deep and extensive knowledge of the hunting and outdoor industry, including an understanding of market trends, consumer behavior, competitive landscapes, and associated technologies.
  • Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to translate complex business and customer needs into clear, actionable product requirements.

  • Customer-Centric Mindset: Passion for delivering exceptional user experiences, with a keen focus on the end-to-end customer journey.
  • Effective Communication and Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder relationships.
  • Proven Leadership in a Fast-Paced Environment: Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and thrive in a fast-moving, dynamic environment.
  • Tools and Systems Knowledge: Proficiency with tools like Google Workspace, Jira, Lucid.
