About the Role 

The Product Inspector will work to ensure the quality of packaging components, raw materials, and finished products which come into our Santa Clarita Warehouse. This may include, but is not limited to, visual inspections, document and label verification, tape testing of components, checking for damaged pieces and cases, and other general quality functions.

What You will Do :

  • Review incoming items to make sure the correct items/artwork versions/materials are received
  • Perform quality verification testing (Tape Test/Ovality/Visual Inspection/etc. for received items)
  • Confirm all received items are clean and in good order (free of damage/crushing/water)
  • Test standability of bar coding on labels to confirm readability
  • Pull samples of finished goods received for our QA Specialist to test products and for Creative when photo samples are needed.
  • Work closely with the Senior Director of QA & Regulatory to develop and improve quality at JPMS

What You’ll Need:

Skills:  

  • Basic computer skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Knowledge of ERP/Inventory systems 
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Highly observant and strict attention to detail
  • Good command of the English language, both written and spoken
  • Reading comprehension: must be able to understand written sentences and information provided in work orders, specifications and other work-related and safety communications

Education

  • High school diploma or GED required

Experience

  • 2 years+ experience in inspection or packaging inspection is preferred

Competitive Compensation:  

  • The expected hourly range for this position is $19.25 to $21.00 . The exact hourly rate is determined by various factors including geographic location, experience, skills, and education.
  • Discretionary Bonus Plan: This position is also eligible for participation in the company discretionary bonus plan, based on personal performance and company results.
