Job Title: Permit Coordinator

Location: Anna Maria Island, FL

Pay: $25 - 35/HR

Job Description:

We are seeking a Permit Coordinator to join our team in Anna Maria Island, FL . This role is responsible for receiving, reviewing, and processing permit applications to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and codes. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to provide top-tier customer service while managing multiple applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, review, and process permit applications for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with regulations.
  • Provide customer service to applicants by answering questions about the permitting process and application status.
  • Track applications through the system and coordinate with various departments and agencies to facilitate approvals and permit issuance.
  • Maintain accurate electronic documentation using systems like Citizenserve or other remote document processing software.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely permit processing.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Administrative background in government, construction, or a related industry.
  • Experience in permit processing, file management, or document review .
  • Familiarity with electronic documentation systems , such as Citizenserve , or experience with remote work software for document processing.
  • Candidates with experience in mortgage processing or medical claim processing may also be a good fit.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and customer service experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in permit coordination, zoning, or municipal government processes .
  • Knowledge of local building codes and regulations .
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and online application tracking systems .
