Job Description

We are currently seeking a Payroll & Accounts Payable/Receivable Clerk to manage payroll processing, compliance, and A/P & A/R for one of our trucking company clients. The right candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and has a solid understanding of payroll procedures and accounting principles.

This role involves working closely with our team and our clients to ensure timely, accurate financial operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process payroll accurately and on schedule for trucking industry clients
  • Ensure payroll compliance with federal/provincial regulations.
  • Enter, review, and process vendor invoices
  • Generate and send customer invoices
  • Apply and reconcile payments to the appropriate accounts
  • Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up as needed
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records
  • Assist with monthly reporting and other bookkeeping tasks
  • Communicate with clients and vendors in a professional manner
Qualifications
  • Diploma or certificate in Business Administration, Bookkeeping, or Payroll (Community College or equivalent)
  • Previous experience in payroll and accounts payable/receivable
  • Experience working with clients in the trucking or transportation sector is an asset
  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and clients efficiently
