Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Patient Care Technician to support perioperative services as part of the surgical team. This role requires a tech-savvy and patient-focused professional with hands-on OR experience, especially in acute care settings. CNAs with OR experience will also be considered.
Responsibilities:
Assist with cleaning and disinfection of OR equipment and rooms.
Set up and troubleshoot various OR equipment including suction, OR beds/lights, oxygen tanks, and positioning tools.
Support sterile supply stocking and inventory.
Transport equipment, supply items, and blood products as needed.
Aid in patient transfers and proper positioning of anesthetized patients.
Adhere strictly to PPE and isolation precaution standards.
Must have at least 1 year of recent experience in an acute hospital OR setting.
BLS certification is required.
Must be proficient in handling case cart setups, gas tanks, and operating room equipment.
Familiarity with hospital charting systems required.
First-time travelers accepted.
RTO (Requested Time Off) must be included at time of submission.
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Additional patient care technician or CNA certification preferred.
Experience:
1+ year of experience in an acute care operating room setting.
Must demonstrate skills in equipment handling, disinfection protocols, and patient transport within OR environments.
License/Certifications:
BLS (Basic Life Support) Required
CNA license accepted if experienced in an OR setting.
