PAINT SYSTEMS ENGINEER
ãSummaryã
A Japanese company specializing in comprehensive support for manufacturing line automation is seeking a Paint Equipment Engineer to supportn in Georgetown, KY. They are engaged in sales and maintenance support for paint system applications based on the parent company’s technology, as well as new installation and modification of paint equipment.
ãEssential Dutiesã
1.Vendor/Customer Management
- Coordinate meetings, on-site inspections with customers, regarding various equipment such as Painting Booths, Ovens, Conveyor Systems, Pre-treatment systems, and E-Coat systems, etc.
- Confirm customer’s requirements with parent company in Japan.
- Creating proposals and specification reports for customer – most of the communication with customers will be in English
2. Cost/Estimation:
- Request for quote from the parent company - design, parts procured in Japan
- Request for quote from local vendors and sub-contractors - supply parts, on-site construction, installation work, etc.
- Submit quotes to customers
3. Confirmation & Shipping:
- Confirm specifications/equipment with the customer
- Shipping arrangements - equipment and production, cost control
- Create instructions for installation and on-site modifications: manage schedule,create construction instructions for subcontractors and requirement to be on-site at construction site
- Coordinate work between Japanese supervisor and local staff/contractors.
4. Project Management:
- Oversee equipment installation/construction project at end user facilities.
- Coordinate customer-required meeting between customer and contractor to communicate the project status and concerns.
- Create work completion report.
5. Other:
- Other duties will be assigned under the decision of management.
- Paint Equipment Team will include 2 representatives from the Trinity parent company in Japan.

ãWorking Locationã
Position location will be at the Georgetown, KY office with travel to customer and project sites. Some customer sites are in Indiana, Mississippi, Texas, Canada, Mexico and/or Japan. Travel will be about 25% - 30%.

$65K - $80K
ãQualificationsã
- Ability to understand the following design technologies:
- Psychrometric charts based on temperature and humidity
- Pressure loss in ducts
- Pressure loss in piping
- Knowledge of heat sources
- Basic knowledge of sheet metal
- Knowledge of material selection, processing methods (bending, cutting), and welding methods
- Equipment selection based on design conditions received from Japan (e.g., pumps, fans, valves, filters)
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
- Open to travel (25%+)
- Japanese language proficiency is a plus
- Flexible schedule; may be required to work nights, weekends, etc.
