This travel Registered Nurse position is for the Operating Room at Lahey Clinic Hospital in Burlington, MA. The role requires providing skilled nursing care in a fast-paced surgical environment, focusing on robotic and neuro surgical procedures. Experience with Epic is required, and scrubbing experience is preferred but not mandatory. The position involves a 36-hour/week evening shift (11 AM - 11 PM) with one weekend per month required. The successful candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and maintain exceptional communication skills.
Location:
Responsibilities:
- Providing skilled nursing care in the Operating Room.
- Performing patient assessments and monitoring.
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Assisting with surgical procedures, including robotic and neuro cases.
- Collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other OR staff.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation in Epic.
- Participating in scheduled call shifts (Short Call, Overnight, or Weekend).
- Maintaining a clean and organized surgical environment.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts.
- BLS/CPR certification.
- Epic experience.
- Minimum of two years of hospital experience (implied).
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- COVID-19 vaccinations and booster.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Scrubbing experience in the Operating Room.
- Experience with robotic and neurosurgical procedures.
Special Considerations:
- Travel position; local candidates not accepted.
- Must not have worked permanently or as a traveler for any Beth Israel facility within the past six months.
