Job Description

This role is for an Operating Room Registered Nurse responsible for providing skilled nursing care in an inpatient surgical setting. The RN will perform a variety of tasks, including patient assessments, medication administration, and collaboration with the surgical team. A minimum of two years of experience in a similar role is required.

Responsibilities:

- Performing patient assessments and providing skilled nursing care in the operating room.
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other members of the surgical team.
- Maintaining a sterile surgical environment.
- Preparing surgical instruments and equipment.
- Assisting with surgical procedures as needed.
- Documenting patient care and procedures accurately and completely.
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Certifications:

- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment.
- Minimum of two years of experience as an Operating Room Nurse.
- BLS certification.
- Clinical assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning skills.
- Interdisciplinary team collaboration skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.

Special Considerations:

- Inpatient OR setting with 4 operating rooms.
- Schedule: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM, days vary, 13-week assignment.

Scheduling:

- Day shift, schedule varies, 13-week assignment. Specific shift details will be provided during the interview process.
