Position Overview:

As a Mechanical Engineer at Montana Knife Company, you will play a crucial role in optimizing

our production processes, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and implementing creative

solutions to our manufacturing challenges. Your expertise in mechanical engineering will help us

maintain our standards of excellence while increasing efficiency and reducing waste.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes and workflows to enhance

productivity and efficiency.

- Design and employ advanced fixturing solutions for production manufacturing.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve production issues, ensuring

minimal downtime and optimal output.

- Investigate, specify, and oversee the implementation of new production equipment and tooling.

- Analyze production data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and propose actionable

solutions.

- Stay current with industry trends and technologies to drive innovation within manufacturing.

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in a CNC machining

and/or production assembly environment.

- Strong knowledge of process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma)

- Ability to balance numerous projects simultaneously while driving progress and schedule

conformance.

- Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to work effectively in a collaborative

environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with production automation

- Experience with Fanuc industrial robotics
