We are a 38-year-old firm widely regarded as the preeminent nationwide law firm representing franchise dealers in the automotive industry and w e are currently seeking a seasoned and strategic Managing Attorney to help lead our continued growth and uphold our national reputation for excellence in dealership and franchise law. We’re looking for a dynamic legal professional with at least 10 years of experience , strong business acumen, and a track record of leadership in the legal field. In this role, you will manage the operational and strategic direction of the firm, develop legal talent, and continue to maintain your own caseload—particularly complex and high-stakes matters.

Now Hiring: Managing Attorney

📍 Location: Mineola, NY (On-site)

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day law firm operations and ensure alignment with long-term strategic goals
• Contribute to firm leadership through business planning, team management, and culture building
• Recruit, hire, mentor, and retain top legal talent, including attorneys, paralegals, and support staff
• Monitor firm productivity, client satisfaction, and legal service delivery standards
• Manage financial performance by overseeing budgets, evaluating firm metrics, and recommending cost-saving or revenue-generating initiatives
• Represent the firm at industry events, webinars, and public forums to enhance visibility and credibility
• Maintain and grow a personal caseload, with a focus on complex litigation and strategic matters

Qualifications:

• JD from an accredited law school; licensed and in good standing with the New York State Bar
• Minimum 10 years of legal experience , including leadership or firm management roles
• Demonstrated success in supervising legal teams and managing firm operations
• Strong financial literacy and comfort reviewing performance metrics, budgets, and reporting tools
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
• Background in franchise, dealership, or commercial litigation law is strongly preferred
• Public speaking and community outreach experience is a plus
