Are you seeking a new supervisory role in the Brainerd area? Doherty Staffing Solutions is partnering with a leading pet food production company located in Brainerd, MN. We are seeking candidates for a Maintenance Supervisor role on the day shift. Compensation for this direct-hire opportunity ranges between $32.00-$35.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience. What you’ll do as a Maintenance Supervisor:

• Report directly to the Director of Maintenance for overall project planning and management at the respective plant
• Maintain equipment, practice preventative maintenance, coordinate and prioritize work orders
• Prioritize, work with, and help guide maintenance technicians on internal construction or maintenance projects for production equipment or facility improvements
• Diagnose equipment issues and coordinate with production teams on maintenance repairs to minimize downtime
• Ensure safety guidelines and regulatory requirements are met in all maintenance work
• Follow and enforce GMP’s and safety protocols
• Work with Parts and Inventory Specialist to source components and maintain proper inventory control

What you need to be a Maintenance Supervisor:

• High School diploma required, additional schooling is preferred
• 2+ years supervisor experience required
• Boiler license and Forklift certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Electrical knowledge and strong mechanical aptitude
• Understanding of basic electrical systems; including single phase, 3 phase and low voltage
• Ability to read blueprints and understand technical drawings
• Prior experience in a manufacturing facility preferred, specifically in food manufacturing
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis with or without reasonable accommodation
• Ability to work with various computer programs including work order system and Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook and Teams.
• Strong and effective communication skills a must
