**Description:**
SUMMARY
This position is responsible for performing procedures included in the annual health assessments, drug screen collections, mask fit testing, and other pre-employment testing as required. The incumbent will manage infectious exposure follow-ups as well as administering first-aid and various immunizations programs to the staff of Saint Agnes Medical Center. The incumbent is responsible to positively and proactively greet and welcome patients and is an expert at providing excellent customer/patient services in person and via the phone. The incumbent must work collaboratively with all colleagues, patients, and visitors, in support of direct patient service. This position is responsible to accurately manage documentation and logs, supports and covers the administration functions including answering the telephone, directing calls, and taking and distributing messages. This position may also schedule patients, including gathering pertinent information for patient registration and tasks associated with treatment authorization. This position will manage communications with department leaders or designees and communicate due and over-due required testing or immunizations in accordance with Saint Agnes policy and procedures. These duties are to be performed in a prompt, friendly and accurate manner while maintaining confidentiality.
REQUIREMENTS
1. High school diploma or equivalent is required.
2. Current licensure as a Vocational Nurse (LVN) in the State of California is required.
3. One (1) year of clinical experience is required. Experience with Employee Health, Occupational Health or a related field is preferred.
4. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR card is required.
5. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, both oral and written, to effectively and professionally engage with Employee Health staff, patients and providers in both routine and stressful situations are required.
6. Ability to multitask, attention to detail, strong computer skills, and knowledge of medical terminology are required. 6. Computer data entry experience is required.
Pay Range: $27.67 - $38.75
