Job Description

Title: Lidar Analyst

Location: Lafayette, LA

Schedule: Hybrid - Monday - Wednesday in Office and Thursday - Friday at Home

Pay: $18.00/Hour and up

NO C2C and NO THIRD PARTIES

Key Responsibilities:

Delivery Excellence:

  • Process lidar data according to project-specific requirements: boresight, TerraScan macro development, manual editing/QC, and generation of derived products.
  • Perform independent quality review of other staff members' work.
  • Conduct final quality reviews to verify conformance to specifications and requirements.
  • Understand factors affecting production, such as time allotted, quality and quantity metrics, and project specifications.
  • Recognize and solve problems in a timely manner to keep projects on schedule, using independent judgment to determine courses of action.
  • Assist the technical/team lead or department supervisor in scheduling and expediting work processes.
  • Sharing Information:
  • Report to the technical/team lead or department supervisor on project status and any matters that may negatively affect product quality.
  • Offer technical support and input for the team, management, peers, and clients regarding procedures and specifications.
  • Provide written and oral reports on technical and professional issues as needed.
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
  • Exercise creativity in identifying opportunities to streamline workflows and increase efficiency through data-driven insights and process improvements.
  • Recommend improvements to existing processes and procedures based on data analysis findings.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in analytical tools and techniques; recommend tools or methods that could enhance analytical capabilities.
  • Assist in creating and enforcing information security standards, policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience
  • Experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or project performance analysis.
  • Proficiency with data tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or Python/R.
  • Strong understanding of project environments and performance measurement.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving and workflow improvement.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI, to enhance data analysis and streamline workflows.
  • Strong understanding of all stages in a project lifecycle and delivery approaches, e.g., waterfall, agile, etc.
