About the Firm

This global law firm is widely respected for its work in complex credit markets and structured finance. The Los Angeles office is seeking a mid-level associate to join a nationally recognized team focused on loan securitizations. The group operates at the intersection of finance and regulation, advising on some of the most intricate deals in the market. About the Practice

This team works with a broad mix of institutional clients, including arrangers, fund managers, lenders, and trustees on all aspects of collateralized loan transactions. Representative matters may include:

• Structuring and documenting transactions involving term CLOs and warehouse credit facilities
• Navigating issues involving UCC, bankruptcy, and regulatory disclosures
• Advising on risk retention, investment company status, and securities law compliance
• Preparing and negotiating deal documents, offering memoranda, and legal opinions

The team’s experience spans a wide range of asset classes and transaction types, including both broadly syndicated and middle-market credit facilities.

Qualifications

• JD and admission (or eligibility) to the California Bar
• A minimum 2 years of experience with CLOs or other structured credit products
• Strong grasp of securities laws, financing transactions, and legal opinion practice
• Comfortable juggling multiple live deals in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent writing, research, and interpersonal communication skills

Compensation & Benefits

The expected base salary range for this position is approximately $250K-$365K, depending on seniority and experience. The firm also offers a generous benefits package, performance bonuses, and hybrid work flexibility.
