Founding Software Engineer - Hypergrowth Voice AI Startup
Redwood City, CA (5 days/week)
The company seeks engineers who are eager to work 5 days/week in the office in a hardworking, highly collaborative, and fast-paced environment.
The company's product involves voice AI, conversational AI, and developer tools.
The company's founding team is comprised of experts from leading companies including Meta and Google.
The company has achieved very strong revenues within 12 months of founding, and revenues are rapidly growing.
The company has 7 employees and seeks to hire 5 engineers as soon as possible. They expect to have 25 employees within the next year.
The company will pay salary up to $300k, plus equity (roughly 1% of the company) which could be very lucrative.
Job responsibilities:
- You could spend anywhere from 50-100% of your time on backend engineering.
- Designing scalable solutions and shipping features for a production-ready voice agent platform.
- Leading initiatives across backend, front end, and infrastructure, with opportunities for high ownership and growth.
- Collaborating closely with designers and other engineers throughout the design and implementation phases.
Qualifications:
- A founder mindset.
- Strong work ethic and fine working 50-60 hours/week.
- Programming language agnostic and interested/able to learn and use new technologies as needed.
- Experience from fast-growing startups or top tech companies.
- Strong technical skills in at least one of these technologies: Node.js, TypeScript, Python, C++, Java, C#, Go, Ruby, C, PHP.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
Nice to have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from a highly ranked university.
- Experience building AI products.
