Financial Analyst – Real Estate Development

Conroe, TX

Bring your experience in real estate development, underwriting, financial analysis, etc and join our client - a Fortune 500 Residential Builder who has been the leader in their industry for over 20 years straight.

Highlights:

Financial Stability: A bullet-proof balance sheet, strong liquidity (cash stores), and low leverage (debt) allow for this builder to set its own destiny through these macroeconomic uncertainties better than most competitors
Exposure: This person will be the sole Financial Analyst in a $350MM real estate business, working with the President + all department heads and will gain incredible exposure to all aspects of the business.

What you’ll do:

Analyze and assimilate financial data into useful management tools.

Responsibilities:

Assist with the divisional business plan process. Ensure quality, accuracy, and analytical review
Compile departmental budgets into GMA/GPA format
Oversee project profitability spanning the life of a project
Equip management with profitability analysis and reporting, including actual to enable informed decision-making
Identify problem areas. Evaluate, recommend, and implement alternative solutions
Provide accounting support in addition to managing special projects
Assist with month-end closing and analysis of results
Prepare various reports and analyses required by Corporate
Provide financial advice to managers

What you’ll need:

Bachelor’s Degree – Business, Finance or Accounting
2-5 years of financial and analytic experience in the real estate industry
Proficiency with MS Excel / financial modeling (cash flow, etc)
Experience presenting/discussing analysis with executives
Professional experience with Power BI is a plus
Knowledge of the Homebuilding industry is a big plus!
Ability to work in the Conroe office 5 days a week is required
