Job Description
We are seeking a Finance & Accounting Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will collaborate with the Finance Manager and Billing Specialist to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the finance department. You will play a crucial role in the month-end close process, financial reporting, and providing essential financial support to the business, all while ensuring compliance with corporate and legal regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
Month-End Close & Financial Reporting (70%)
Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations, including Accounts Payable, Deposits, Fixed Assets, Intangible Assets, Prepayments, Accruals, Work-in-Progress (WIP), Deferred Revenue, and Bank Reconciliations.
Oversee the revenue reconciliation process, ensuring revenue is accurately recognized in the correct period.
Manage payroll processes, including posting payroll journals for bi-monthly payroll, expenses, benefits, commissions, vacation accruals, and intercompany payroll recharges.
Process, post, and reconcile intercompany transactions.
Conduct variance analysis on monthly and quarterly financial results.
Compile and present financial reports to management and leadership teams.
Prepare monthly and quarterly deliverables for group reporting.
Assist in the creation and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), best practices (COSO), and Risk Control Matrix documentation.
Ensure compliance with sales tax requirements across applicable states and customers.
Assist with accounts receivable and treasury activities as needed.
Additional Finance Responsibilities (15%)
Assist in the preparation for the annual audit.
Support the Finance Manager with quarterly and annual reporting.
Provide ad hoc financial analysis and contribute to various project work as required.
Engagement with Internal & External Stakeholders (15%)
Maintain open communication and collaboration with team members and external customers.
Develop a deep understanding of the company's finance operations.
Foster teamwork and knowledge sharing within the finance team.
Complete assigned projects within the defined scope and timelines.

Skills & Qualifications:
Associate degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (or 5+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree).
Minimum of 3 years of relevant finance/accounting experience.
Experience with IFRS and Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains is a plus.
Familiarity with working in a multi-company/business unit environment and the technology sector is a plus.
Passion for the regulated beverage or craft spirits industry is a bonus.
Strong financial analysis, problem-solving, and reconciliation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with strong computer and technology skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
