We are seeking a data-driven, technically proficient Email Marketing Manager to lead our comprehensive B2B and B2C email marketing efforts. This strategic role will oversee the entire email marketing lifecycle-from strategy development and audience segmentation to campaign deployment, testing, and performance optimization.
The ideal candidate will excel at engaging diverse stakeholders (educators, administrators, and parents) while driving measurable results in customer acquisition, retention, and business growth. You'll leverage your expertise in email marketing platforms, data segmentation, and analytics to create impactful campaigns that deliver results.
Tools & Technical Skills
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute comprehensive email marketing strategies aligned with business objectives, collaborating closely with marketing, product, and sales teams
Design and implement sophisticated audience segmentation and lifecycle marketing programs that optimize engagement and conversion throughout the customer journey
Own email marketing analytics and reporting, delivering actionable insights to stakeholders while continuously optimizing key metrics (open rates, click-through rates, traffic, and revenue)
Ensure email deliverability excellence through expert list management and strict compliance with email regulations
Manage technical aspects of email deployment including data file queries, HTML configuration, and campaign scheduling using enterprise-level platforms
Coordinate content development with internal teams, including making minor HTML edits as needed
Build and maintain templated campaigns using content management systems
Implement rigorous quality assurance processes to ensure all campaigns meet internal standards and client expectations
Partner with Customer Care to efficiently manage cross-company opt-out requests
Stay at the forefront of email marketing innovations, tools, and best practices, particularly within education and publishing sectors
Qualifications:
6+ years of digital marketing experience with specialized focus on email marketing in both B2B and B2C environments
Demonstrated expertise in content strategy development and sophisticated customer segmentation
Advanced knowledge of personalization techniques, automated lifecycle marketing, lead scoring, nurture workflows, and behavioral targeting
Proficiency with enterprise marketing platforms such as Adobe Campaign, Adobe Analytics, AEM, Movable Ink, Validity, Salesforce, and Marketo
Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, data visualization), Word, and PowerPoint
Experience with Dreamweaver preferred
Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking abilities combined with a creative, solution-oriented mindset
Outstanding organizational skills and clear communication style
Proven project management capabilities with experience coordinating cross-functional, distributed teams
