Job Description

CHAGEE (pronounced CHAH-jee) is a modern tea house with over 6,400 locations globally.

Our teas have a rich cultural heritage stretching across several thousand years. We are one of the earliest regional teahouse chains positioned as the purveyor of modern tea culture. Our mission is to refresh and reintroduce the lifestyle of tea to the world, where guests can connect in a beautiful space and enjoy premium and diverse flavors of tea.

Through our stores across Malaysia, China, Singapore, and Thailand, we serve a staggering 100 million cups of tea monthly. CHAGEE is excited to expand to the US market, and this is your chance to be part of an exhilarating journey as we deliver the taste of authentic tea culture to America.

Overview:

CHAGEE is seeking a forward-thinking and impact-driven Director of Organizational Development & Talent Development (OD&TD) to lead the design and execution of strategies that enhance leadership capability, employee growth, organizational effectiveness, and cultural alignment across North America. This role will be responsible for building scalable talent development frameworks, driving change management, supporting leadership and succession planning, and fostering a high-performance, learning-driven culture. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in OD, L&D, and leadership development within dynamic, multi-location environments.

This is a high-impact role for a strategic OD leader who is passionate about developing people, shaping culture, and enabling organizational excellence at scale across CHAGEE's North American business.

What you will do:

  • Design and implement enterprise-wide OD strategies that support organizational growth, culture integration, and business transformation.
  • Lead the development and delivery of learning and development programs—including leadership development, functional skills training, and frontline capability building.
  • Partner with business leaders and HRBPs to identify capability gaps, succession risks, and organizational needs across corporate and field operations.
  • Build a scalable talent development framework, including onboarding, high-potential programs, career pathing, and performance enablement.
  • Facilitate organization design efforts (e.g., team structure, role clarity, spans & layers analysis) to ensure alignment with strategic priorities.
  • Drive leadership assessment and development initiatives, including 360 feedback, coaching, and targeted growth plans.
  • Lead change management strategies and communications to support transformation initiatives, process adoption, and cultural evolution.
  • Partner with global OD/TD counterparts to align on frameworks, share best practices, and localize group-wide programs.
  • Build and manage internal development resources, external vendor partnerships, and learning technologies.
  • Measure and report the impact of development programs through KPIs, feedback, and ROI analysis.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a rapidly evolving environment.
  • Be prepared for duties and responsibilities to evolve, and show a willingness to step outside of your usual scope to support the company's growth. Expect opportunities for personal and professional growth as you navigate new challenges.

Experience you need to be successful:

  • 10+ years of experience in organizational development, talent development, or L&D, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven success designing and implementing large-scale learning programs and OD interventions in complex, high-growth organizations.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to align people strategies with organizational goals.
  • Deep understanding of adult learning principles, leadership assessment tools, and organization design methodologies.
  • Excellent facilitation, coaching, and stakeholder engagement skills across all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in retail, hospitality, or F&B industries is highly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Psychology, or a related field; Master’s degree or certifications (e.g., CPLP, Prosci, Hogan, Korn Ferry) are a plus.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary
  • 401K with company match to secure your future
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance with company contribution for individuals and dependents
  • On-site fitness center and wellness programs
  • Generous paid time off and sick policy
  • Income protection including Disability, Life, and AD&D insurance
  • EAP Program to support your wellness objectives
