CLOSED - Physical Education Teacher

St. Matthew School has an opening for a part-time Physical Education Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year.   The primary role of the Physical Education Teacher will be to

• Implement a comprehensive instructional curriculum appropriate for physical education
• Incorporate physical education practice methods to effectively enhance learning
• Supervise student activities within the classroom and other areas as assigned
• Lead and organize St. Matthew's Field Day
• Supervise student activities within the classroom and other areas as assigned
• Communicates via phone, email, and in person with families regarding students’ academic progress in a professional and timely manner
• Attend all teacher in-services, faculty and department meetings, professional development, and faith formation workshops
• Participate in additional school-related activities including, but not limited to, open house, graduation, CSW weekend masses, parent-teacher conferences, and back to school event.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• CPR Certification or willingness to attain certification
• Adhere to Code of Ethical Conduct
• Satisfactory background check
• Completion of Safe Environment training prior to employment

PREFERRED, BUT NOT REQUIRED

• Current teaching certificate issued by the State of Wisconsin
• Practicing Catholic
• Previous teaching experience
