Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Cash Management Specialist to join our team in Birmingham, Alabama. This long-term contract position offers an opportunity to work within the dynamic insurance industry, assisting with essential financial operations. The ideal candidate will play a key role in cash application processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in daily operations. Responsibilities: - Process daily cash receivables and accurately post them into the Workday system. - Investigate and resolve cash-related discrepancies by collaborating with customers, internal teams, and external partners. - Handle electronic payment transactions, including wires and ACH payments. - Prepare and deposit all checks received in the office in a timely manner. - Coordinate with various departments to address inquiries and ensure smooth financial operations. - Review positive pay items with the bank to confirm their accuracy and compliance. - Maintain organized records and documentation of all cash transactions. - Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates and address issues. - Support team operations by contributing to process improvements and maintaining high standards of accuracy. Requirements - Minimum of one year of experience in accounts receivable or cash application processes. - Proficiency in posting payments and managing cash transactions. - Familiarity with electronic payment systems, including wires and ACH. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners. - Experience using Workday or similar financial software; training can be provided. - Excellent communication skills to address inquiries and resolve issues. - Business casual attire required in an office environment focused on precision and efficiency.
