Role

Full-time, 4-month Paid Internship (Can convert to full-time)

In this role, you will learn from and contribute to a fast-paced startup’s B2B marketing and sales efforts to drive sales and business development efforts. This can convert into a full-time position after 4 months of the internship, based on performance and availability.

Reporting to: Co-founder/Lead, University Partnerships

Responsibilities :

Support Business Development:

  • Enable business development efforts to create new opportunities with universities and colleges in the assigned U.S. markets.
  • Research and analyze the target audience of universities and specific decision makers to understand their facts, personas, needs, and priorities.
  • Engage with the universities using phone calls, LinkedIn, and email to further the conversations under the guidance of the Account (Sales) Executive.
  • Support the marketing with on-ground events and planned campaigns, as well as online engagement for webinars.
  • Meet potential decision-makers and collaborate to present the platform’s value proposition and experience to stakeholders. 

Support Sales and Business Development Operations: 

  • Configure HubSpot according to the business processes and ensure that the data across marketing and sales is up to date in HubSpot. 
  • Get trained on HubSpot features and drive daily, weekly, and monthly reporting and analysis for the sales and business development teams.
  • Support with required office administration as needed. 
  • Maintain clear documentation of all efforts and data on all deals using HubSpot or equivalent tools as required.
  • Contribute to essential data analysis efforts using Excel and Hubspot.

Support Sales:

  • Help build customized market research and sales proposals, and help close on the sales opportunities created
  • Drive preliminary market research of the university’s reputation, public analytics, and brand strength in the intended markets, including interviewing students and relevant audiences.
  • Contribute to the proposal development and marketing collateral development as required by closing, working with the reporting manager and other Account Executives.

Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelor's/master's degree in Business Administration / Marketing (Seniors/graduating students are welcome to apply)
  • Candidates with work experience are preferred.
  • Authorized to work in the US. International students on OPT are welcome to apply (Sponsorship of an appropriate work visa can be considered if the internship is converted to a full-time position, based on performance)

  • Analytical and Critical thinking - Ability to ask the best questions and think in a logical manner 
  • Communication & Relationship Building – Strong verbal/written skills to engage university leadership via calls, LinkedIn, and email.
  • Research & Analysis – Ability to analyze the market for a particular product, business, or program.
  • Marketing & Events – Willingness to show care and perfection in supporting webinars, campaigns, and on-ground events.
  • Data & Tools Proficiency – Comfortable with Excel, digitally savvy with enterprise software and CRM tools. Ability to use AI tools responsibly and contextually.
  • Flexible to work on ad-hoc projects with a can-do attitude.
  • A self-starter with the drive to learn and do whatever it takes to get the job done

Other Requirements: 

  • Ability to work from the office 5 days a week
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teams from multiple functions, sometimes outside the traditional working hours, to accommodate working with teams in other time zones
