About Us  

Located in Ponte Vineyard Inn, The Cellar Bar is an intimate full service and stylish cocktail lounge offering craft cocktails, curated wines, and table side dining in the heart of wine country. Known for its elevated beverage program and inviting atmosphere, The Cellar Bar is open seven days a week and serves as a cornerstone of the Ponte guest experience. 

Summary  

We’re seeking a hands-on Bar Manager with craft cocktail expertise to lead the evening operations of The Cellar Bar. This role oversees bar service, beverage inventory, staff training, and guest experience, while ensuring consistency, quality, and compliance. Ideal candidates are passionate about hospitality, experienced in bar management, and driven to create memorable guest experiences through innovative cocktails and exceptional service. 

Compensation  

$70,000 – $75,000 annual salary, DOE 

Schedule  

Schedule will vary depending on business and operational needs, with an emphasis on peak bar hours, weekends, and holidays. 

Bar Hours  

  • Wednesday–Thursday: 5 PM – 9 PM 
  • Friday–Saturday: 5 PM – 12 AM 
  • Sunday: 3 PM – 9 PM

You’ll Be a Great Fit If You Have:  

  • 3–5+ years of recent experience managing a high-volume or upscale bar program 
  • Strong knowledge of spirits, cocktail techniques, and seasonal mixology trends 
  • Proven success in staff leadership, cost control, and guest engagement 
  • Proficiency in Toast POS, Microsoft Office, and Excel 
  • Riverside County Food Handler’s Manager Certification and RBS Certification (or ability to obtain) 
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. and remain on your feet during evening service hours 
  • A warm, professional presence and a passion for delivering outstanding hospitality 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities  

Bar Operations & Beverage Management  

  • Drive financial success through inventory management, cost controls, and revenue strategy 
  • Develop and maintain a seasonal craft cocktail menu and ensure consistency in presentation and quality 
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and labor regulations 
  • Oversee bar equipment, cleanliness, and organization 

 

Leadership & Team Development  

  • Recruit, train, and inspire a high-performing team of bartenders, servers, and barbacks 
  • Provide continuous coaching, support, and regular performance feedback 
  • Ensure associates receive proper breaks by providing coverage for bartenders and servers as needed 
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and hospitality excellence 

 

Guest Experience & Communication  

  • Engage with guests and provide a memorable and personalized lounge experience 
  • Proactively respond to and resolve guest concerns 
  • Collaborate with marketing, events, and hotel leadership to support promotions and special events 

 

Standards & Compliance  

  • Uphold sanitation, RBS protocols, and workplace safety 
  • Enforce appearance and service standards 
  • Perform any other duties as required by your Manager
