JCW is currently recruiting on behalf of a well-respected reinsurer looking to add an Assistant Vice President, Senior Claims Analyst to oversees the review, analysis, and resolution of claims under applicable insurance and reinsurance agreements. This role involves conducting claims audits, providing insights to underwriting and actuarial teams, preparing management reports, and collaborating across finance, operations, and technology functions. The position also serves as a key point of contact for claims-related matters with clients and brokers.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage complex professional liability claims and assist with other casualty and property matters, ensuring compliance with company standards and reserving practices.
• Conduct claims audits from planning to reporting, and provide actionable insights to underwriting and actuarial teams.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders; participate in renewals, client visits, and market events.
• Lead process improvements to enhance claims handling efficiency and mentor team members to develop technical expertise.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional lines insurance/reinsurance claims experience, including complex coverage analysis.
• Proven ability to lead audits, manage high-value claims, and work independently with minimal oversight..
• Strong communication, analytical, and relationship-building skills with leadership and mentoring experience.
