POSITION SUMMARY

The Assistant Property Manager is responsible for supporting day to day on-site operations of affordable housing apartment buildings under the Archway Housing & Services, Inc. Contribute to the efficiency of our business by providing day-to-day execution of property-level operational tasks. This position is responsible for quality services to the residents and efficient operation of the buildings physically, economically, and socially. The focus of this role will be primarily resident-facing and administrative areas with an increasing responsibility of compliance-related documentation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Compliance Support

● Assist in collecting and reviewing income and asset documentation for certifications and recertifications

● Help prepare TICs for review and filing

● Follow up with residents for missing documents or signatures

● Maintain resident records according to applicable compliance regulations and Archway standards

Leasing and Resident Services

● Provide exceptional customer service to our resident population

● Conduct tours and assist with processing applications

● Handle phone inquiries, emails, and walk-in traffic

● Support move-ins and move-outs with proper documentation and operate the property within established budget

Rent Collection & Administrative Duties

● Post rents, track delinquencies, and issue notices

● Manage files, data entry, and office organization

● Collaborate with Accounting and Finance on monthly Financial Reviews

Maintenance Coordination

● Log and track service requests

● Communicate with vendors or maintenance staff on smaller repairs or unit turns

QUALIFICATIONS

A. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Training in property or real estate management a

plus.

B. Experience:

● One or more years of managerial or administrative experience, professional training may substitute for experience. Previous property management experience is a plus.

● Knowledge of Project Based Section 8, LIHTC, and/or other affordable housing programs

● Knowledge of Fair Housing laws

● Experience with ResMan or similar property management software program a plus

● Ability to meet deadlines and work independently with minimal supervision

C. Personal Characteristics:

● Excellent organizational skills

● Exceptional internal and external communication skills

● Positive attitude and approach to work

● Bilingual Spanish is a plus

COMPENSATION

The pay range for this role begins at $20.00 per year and goes to $24.00 per hour depending on experience and skill sets.
