Centennial Hills Hospital Medical Center® is a 336-bed facility that is part of the six-hospital The Valley Health System in the Las Vegas area. We provide a wide range of medical services and procedures, including comprehensive women's services for the Northwest Las Vegas area. In addition to providing digital mammography, gynecologic care and gynecologic surgery, the Women’s Center pays special attention to new moms. During their stay, moms enjoy special menus, massages and afternoon teas. The Women's Center maternity services include labor, delivery and recovery rooms, antepartum and postpartum care, a newborn nursery and a Level III neonatal intensive care unit. Centennial Hills Hospital has taken a progressive approach to health promotion by becoming the first tobacco-free campus in Nevada. Job Description:
The Assistant Director of Pharmacy manages the operations of Pharmacy Services in a cost-effective manner, including
planning for new services, directing day-to-day operations, delegating responsibility and authority for providing
services, continuously improving services to meet customer needs, assuring adequate resources are available, and
integrating services with other professional services within and outside the medical center to assure continuity of care.
Education:
Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy (BS Pharm).
Experience:
Minimum of five years (5) required. Eight to ten years preferred. Prior experience as a director of pharmacy, an assistant director of pharmacy, clinical manager or lead role.
Technical Skills:
Thorough knowledge of pharmacy operations. Software skills using MS office, proficiency with MS Word and MS Excel, some knowledge of MS Access. Automation experience with knowledge of reporting features (i.e., optimization, load/unload, nursing narcotic.
License/Certification:
Current Pharmacist license in the State of Nevada.
