Job Description

Title- Compliance Analyst II/ AML Analyst

Location- Austin, TX (3 days/week onsite)

Pay rate- $30-37/hr on W2

Position- 2

Position Type- Contract

Interview- 2 Rounds

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable AML Compliance Analyst to support our compliance operations team and cross-functional partners. This role ensures our AML programs are equipped with the necessary policies, staffing, tools, and expertise to scale effectively in response to increasing global demands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with compliance operations and internal teams to maintain and enhance AML program effectiveness.
  • Ensure policies and procedures align with BSA/USA PATRIOT Act, MSB regulations, FFIEC guidance, and global AML/CFT standards.
  • Manage KYC and EDD case escalations in a timely manner, meeting specified SLAs.
  • Analyze data and documentation to inform policy and process decisions.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and adjust AML processes accordingly.
  • Develop and update policies, procedures, and reports.
  • Support AML customer risk assessments and influence low-friction, compliant solutions.
  • Partner with investigations team to address potential threats such as money laundering, terrorist financing, and related financial crimes.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven expertise in BSA, AML regulations, KYC, EDD, PEPs, FFIEC, and FATF standards.
  • Deep understanding of AML risk assessments and risk ranking methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience managing large data/document sets.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills; experience drafting policies and reports.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), especially Pivot Tables.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum two years of experience in project and problem management within AML frameworks.
  • Strong background in AML regulatory compliance and process optimization.
  • Professional certifications such as CAMS, CFE, or other financial crimes credentials.
